Zamoras

Villarreal's great start to the season has helped Diego López to the top of our chart this week. The "Yellow Submarine" won 0-1 at Sporting Gijón, and with the match between Valencia and Deportivo ending 4-2 his two closest rivals Renan and Aranzubia drop away. Sporting themselves changed their keeper after Sergio Sánchez let in 19 in their first four games, and new boy Pichu Cuéllar managed to stem the tide.

Another five clean sheets as well as Diego's in a low scoring weekend, Juan Pablo's Numancia and Ricardo's Osasuna drawing 0-0, and Diego Alves (Almería), Jacobo (Getafe) and Palop (Sevilla) all on the winning side in single goal victories. Only one other change to note, Coupet returning to Atlético Madrid's line up under Aguirre's rotation policy. (29.09.08)
