Zamoras

Another clean sheet for Víctor Valdés, this time in the big derby game against Real Madrid, taking him further clear at the top of our chart. The Barcelona keeper has only let in two goals in the last nine league games.

Palop is the only one to keep up with Valdés, his clean sheet helping Sevilla to an important 1-0 win over direct rivals Villarreal.

It was a curious weekend though, with nine home wins and a draw in the ten games. As well as Valdés and Palop, another five keepers maintained their goals against columns to zero, including Iraizoz (Athletic), Leo Franco (Atlético), Goitia (Málaga), Riesgo (Recreativo) and Villar (Valladolid).

No other changes this weekend, although Sporting Gijón may be missing Cuéllar for some time after he was carried off with a broken ankle at the end of the game with Athletic Bilbao. With all three changes made an outfield player was preparing to put on the keeper's jersey, but the referee ended the game before any further play was possible. (15.12.08)
