An interesting weekend for
statisticians, with a very high 37 goals in all but no team scoring more than
three. In all that there were only two clean sheets, one for Numancia's Juan
Pablo and one for Real Madrid's Iker Casillas, his third in a row. Dudu Aouate
let in three at the other end on his debut for Mallorca after moving from
Deportivo, and Ricardo was beaten twice after coming in to the Betis line up
for his first league match of the season in place of the off-form Casto. Getafe
keeper Pato Abbondanzieri only lasted three minutes before being sent off after
giving away a penalty at Numancia, Jacobo returning in his place for the rest
of the ninety minutes. Rumours are that Pato may be moving on shortly to Boca
Juniors, so that may have been his last match for Víctor's side.
