Zamoras

The question this weekend was "can Real Madrid catch Barcelona?" as Juande Ramos's side closed to within ten points of the leaders. The other question is "can Casillas catch Víctor Valdés?", which to a certain extent is tied to the first question. The Real Madrid keeper made his 455th appearance for his club, taking him past Buyo's record for a keeper, and to celebrate he clocked up his seventh clean sheet in eight games.

Other than that there were four other clean sheets in what was relatively low scoring weekend (at least compared to others this season). Osasuna's Roberto got his third in a row as Osasuna continued their fight back with a 0-0 draw against Aranzubia's Deportivo, and Palop (Sevilla) and Aouate (Mallorca) also kept their goals against columns to zero as their respective sides won. Only one goalkeeping change this weekend, Kameni returning from suspension to take over from Cristian Alvarez in the Espanyol goal. (16.02.09)
