Zamoras

Barcelona's back four has been overshadowed by their prolific goalscoring machine, but they also have far and away the best defensive record in the league. True, Víctor Valdés did let in two in the Bernabeu at the weekend, but his opposite number and hitherto closest rival Casillas was hit for six at the other end! Palop is now his only threat after the Sevilla keeper recorded a clean sheet at the weekend, although it would need a near miracle in the remaining four games if he is to catch Valdés for the Zamora title.

Other than Palop, four more keepers didn't let in a goal this weekend. Kameni clocked up his fifth clean sheet in a row as Espanyol beat Valencia 3-0 to move away from the danger zone, and Esteban (Almería), Aranzubia (Deportivo) and Juan Pablo (Numancia) all helped their respective sides to victories. Only one change between the sticks, Lux returning to the Mallorca side after Aouate joined Moyà on the injury list. (04.05.09)
