This week it was Pinto's
turn to cover for Valdés as Barcelona protected their first choice
keeper prior to the Champions League final. A reported last week, Valdés
is already assured the Zamora prize, although his nearest rival Palop did
record a clean sheet as Sevilla tied up third spot in the table. At the Nou
Camp Ricardo produced another important clean sheet for Osasuna to help his
side to three vital points, and Ustari did likewise for Getafe to send Numancia
down and keep his team out of the bottom three. Kameni and Toño also
kept their goals against columns to zero to ensure another season of first
division football for Espanyol and Racing respectively. Elsewhere Málaga
gave Arnau a run out in place of Goitia, who is rumoured to be signing for
Betis next season. (25.05.09) |
