A few changes on the
goalkeeping front this season, the most notable being Sergio Asenjo's move from
Valladolid to Atlético Madrid, and Moyà's transfer from Mallorca
to Valencia. Asenjo was replaced by Jacobo, who returned from a loan spell at
Getafe, and Valencia's Renan has been loaned out to newly promoted Xerez.
Zaragoza signed Argentina's Carrizo for their return to the top flight, but
Tenerife preferred to rely on their old keeper Aragoneses. Elsewhere
Munúa was transferred from Deportivo to Málaga, and Juan Pablo
went from the relegated Numancia to Sporting Gijón. The opening day saw
no less than eight clean sheets, including one for last season's "Zamora",
Víctor Valdés. Day two begins in a fortnight's time after a short
break for the international calendar. (03.09.09) |
