Zamoras

A relatively high-scoring weekend, but there was still room for seven clean sheets amongst our keepers, including another for our leader Víctor Valdés. If he doesn't let in six at the Bernabeu in two weeks' time they can already start carving his name on the trophy. There was one 0-0 draw between Espanyol and Sporting Gijón, Kameni returning from injury to face up against Juan Pablo, and elsewhere there were clean sheets for Ricardo (Osasuna), Diego López (Villarreal), Roberto (Zaragoza) and Renan (Xerez), who kept his place after stepping in to the side midweek when Chema picked up an injury in the pre-match warm up. One of the league's ever-presents Aranzubia had to sit out the Sunday match against Getafe after picking up a red card midweek, Manu taking over, and Codina returned to Michel's side at the other end after Ustari picked up an injury. Elsewhere we had an outfielder in goal for the first time this season, Valladolid's Medunjanin having to put on the red jersey for the last twenty minutes against Xerez after Justo Villar was sent off with all three changes made. He could do nothing to stop Bermejo's penalty a minute later, but that was all he let in. (29.03.10)
