No question about this
season's Zamora prize winner, Víctor Valdés outstripping his
nearest rival Iker Casillas by eleven goals to take the trophy for the third
time. Valdés was one of six number ones to keep a clean sheet this
weekend, together with Codina (Getafe), Aouate (Mallorca), Toño
(Racing), Moyà (Valencia) and Armando (Athletic), who was given a run
out by Caparrós in his last game before retirement. Esteban
(Almería), Manu (Deportivo), Cristian Alvarez (Espanyol) and Roberto
(Osasuna) were also drafted in for the last weekend by their respective
managers, which means that only six keepers were ever-present this season,
Valdés, Casillas, Munúa, Juan Pablo, Aragoneses and Diego
López. (17.05.10) |
