Zamoras

Goalkeepers were on top again this weekend, with no less than nine clean sheets in the ten games. Casillas was one of those, and he has only let in one in the first five games, Real Madrid's best record since Paco Buyo did the same in the 1987/88 season. Madrid will not be happy though that they drew 0-0 at Manuel Reina's Levante, although they could take heart from the fact that Buyo's performance 23 years ago was the start of five league titles in a row. The others to clock up clean sheets this weekend were Diego Alves (Almería), De Gea (Atlético), Kameni (Espanyol), Codina (Getafe), Calatayud (Hércules), Aouate (Mallorca) and César (Valencia). Elsewhere Doblas made his first appearance of the season for Zaragoza, replacing the injured Leo Franco just a quarter of an hour in to the match at Atlético Madrid, and Juan Pablo returned to the Sporting Gijón goal after Cuéllar was given a run-out midweek.
