Zamoras

If last weekend was good for goalkeepers, this one was certainly not! Spare a thought for example for Almería's Diego Alves and Athletic's Gorka Iraizoz, who were hit for eight and five respectively as Barcelona and Real Madrid warmed up for next Monday's derby match, or for Real Sociedad's Bravo, who let in four in the last twenty minutes against Atlético. There was still room though for four clean sheets, Víctor Valdés (Barcelona), Aranzubia (Deportivo), Kameni (Espanyol) and Ricardo (Osasuna) all on the winning sides in games to love. Elsewhere Palop returned in goal for Sevilla after a long injury lay-off, and Zaragoza's new coach Javier Aguirre brought back his old acquaintance Leo Franco in place of Doblas. There was a league debut this season as well for Hércules keeper Unai Alba, who came on for the last ten minutes at Espanyol after Calatayud was sent off for giving away a penalty. He couldn't stop the spot kick though, nor a second one near the end as his team ended up losing 3-0. (23.11.10)
