Zamoras

Real Madrid closed the gap on Barcelona a bit this weekend, and Casillas did likewise with Víctor Valdés after keeping a clean sheet against Hércules. Club and keeper still have to go a bit if they want to catch their respective rivals, but the challenge has been laid down. Elsewhere there were three more clean sheets, Doblas (Zaragoza), Kameni (Espanyol) and Willy Caballero (Málaga), his first since joining the club five games ago. Sporting's Juan Pablo made a brief appearance again this week, replacing the injured Cuéllar for the last quarter of the match at Villarreal. It remains to be seen whether Cuéllar recovers in time for next weekend, but first reports are that he could be out for a couple of weeks or so. (16.03.11)
