Our leader Víctor
Valdés conveniently sat out Barcelona's match against bottom club
Almería this weekend after picking up a timely fifth yellow card last
week, just two weeks before the big "clásico". He was ably replaced
though by reserve keeper Pinto, himself a former Zamora prize winner during his
time at Celta. Valdés will be back next weekend to face his old rival
Casillas, who was one of eight men to keep clean sheets on a low scoring
weekend. For the record, the others were De Gea (Atlético), Aranzubia
(Deportivo), Kameni (Espanyol), Calatayud (Hércules), Caballero
(Málaga), Juan Pablo (Sporting) and César (Valencia). Two other
changes as well as Pinto, Reina replacing the suspended Munúa at
Levante, and Doblas returning for Zaragoza in place of Leo Franco after serving
out his one match ban. (12.04.11) |
