Zamoras

Guardiola rested leading "Zamora" Víctor Valdés this weekend after the midweek Champions League game in the Bernabeu, giving a moral-boosting run-out again to his second keeper Pinto. The ex Celta number one will miss the second leg next Tuesday and possibly the final after he was shown a red card for fighting with a member of Real Madrid's technical staff in the tunnel at half time, and although Barça lost at Real Sociedad on Saturday, this was a message from his coach that he still loves him! And talking of love, the crowd at the match between Munúa's Levante and Juan Pablo's Sporting chanted "qué se besan!", calling for the players to kiss each other as they stared listlessly in to each others' eyes in one of the dullest 0-0 draws in a long time. Both teams got what they wanted though, a point each which just about enough to ensure another season in the top flight. Elsewhere there were four more clean sheets, for De Gea (Atlético), Ricardo (Osasuna), Toño (Racing) and Javi Varas (Sevilla), and Lux played the second half for Mallorca at Racing after Aouate fractured his cheekbone when he ran in to the post making a save just before half time. The Israeli keeper is expected to be back in a week or so though after a successful operation. (04.05.11)
