A good start to the year for our goalkeepers, with half of them clocking up clean sheets in the opening round of league games in 2012. There were a record four 0-0 draws, between Bravo's Real Sociedad and Andrés Fernández's Osasuna, Munúa's Levante and Aouate's Mallorca, Caballero's Málaga and Courtois's Atlético, and Moyà's Getafe and Iraizoz's Athletic, and Toño (Racing) and Casto (Betis) were both on the right side of important wins to nothing for their teams. Only Granada's Roberto let in more than two, the five that Real Madrid scored against him taking him right down the rankings after he had battled through to third in the table. Elsewhere Dani Jiménez got a run out at Rayo in place of Codina, who was rested as a precaution after picking up a bad cut over the eyebrow in training, and Espanyol keeper Cristian Alvarez had to be replaced by Kiko Casilla with ten minutes to go in the derby match against Barcelona after pulling a muscle in his calf. The injury causes a dilemma for Pochettino , as Casilla cannot play in the midweek cup tie against Córdoba after he was sent off in the first leg, and the coach must decide now whether to reinstate Kameni, who has been left out of his plans since last summer, and who is already close to agreeing terms for a move to Málaga.
