Although there were few goals this weekend, they were well spread out, and only four keepers managed clean sheets. One of those was Courtois in Atlético's 0-0 draw against Diego Alves's Valencia, the on-loan Chelsea youngster only the third keeper in the club's history to not let in a goal in five straight league games. He has a long way to go to beat the club (and Spanish league) record though of 13 matches, still held by the new Granada coach Abel Resino. The other two clean sheets this weekend were for Casillas, who pulled one back on his eternal rival Valdés, and Calatayud, who stepped in at Mallorca for the suspended Aouate. Elsewhere Mario made his first appearance of the season for Racing in place of Toño, who was also sitting out a one match ban, and Joel made his debut for Rayo Vallecano after his loan move from Atlético Madrid.
