Casillas closed up a bit on leader Víctor Valdés this weekend, although he would surely have swapped his clean sheet for a victory after Real Madrid were held to a 0-0 draw by Guaita's Valencia. The result leaves Madrid just four points above Barça in the table. A 0-0 draw as well between Aouate's Mallorca and Granada, for whom Julio César returned in goal after Roberto's back pains returned. And there were clean sheets too for five more keepers, Iraizoz (Athletic), Moyà (Getafe), Munúa (Levante), Kameni (Málaga) and Joel (Rayo), with Sunday in particular a low scoring day. On Monday evening there were more problems for Racing after Mario had to leave the pitch with an injury soon after the break in the match at Málaga, and with first choice keeper Toño also out injured, Spanish under 19 international Dani Sotres came on to make his first team debut. Toño and Mario are both rushing to be fit in time for the midweek game against Mallorca, but Real Sociedad will certainly have to make a goalkeeping change after the ever-present Claudio Bravo was given a second booking at the end of the match against Betis. Zubikarai is favourite to take over. (10.04.12)
