Two games away from the next big "clásico", Víctor Valdes has opened up a five goal gap over his main rival Iker Casillas, and nothing short of a disaster for Barcelona in that match is going to prevent him tying up the "Zamora" prize yet again. Valdés was one of four keepers to record clean sheets in an otherwise high-scoring midweek round of games, the others being Andrés (Osasuna), Aouate (Mallorca) and Palop (Sevilla). Málaga's Kameni was also on his way to joining them until he was sent off late on for giving away a penalty on Villarreal's Hernán Pérez, and with Willy Caballero out to the end of the season, Rubén came on for the last few minutes. A couple of other changes to note as well, Spanish under 19 international keeper Dani Sotres making his first start for Racing after Toño and Mario both failed to recover in time, and Real Sociedad's number two keeper Zubikarai making his first appearance of the current campaign following the red card for Claudio Bravo at the weekend.
