Valladolid’s Diego Mariño was probably as surprised as anyone that he didn’t let in a single goal against the mighty Barcelona on Saturday, but their 1-0 win coupled with Atlético’s 0-2 victory at Celta meant that Courtois moved two goals clear of Víctor Valdés in the Zamora chart. Elsewhere there were four more clean sheets this weekend, Adán (Betis), Roberto (Granada), Diego López (Real Madrid) and Willy Caballero (Málaga), and there were two goalkeeping changes, Zubikarai replacing the injured Claudio Bravo at Real Sociedad, and Codina standing in at Getafe for Moyà, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a serious knee injury picked up last weekend. The club have decided to sign ex Benfica and Granada keeper Julio César on a short term contract as a replacement. (11.03.14)
