Suddenly Claudio Bravo’s lead at the top of the Zamora’s chart is not looking as safe as it was a couple of days ago, Valencia’s Diego Alves closing to within two goals of the Barcelona and Chile minder just a week before the two teams meet in the Nou Camp. Alves was one of five keepers to clock up clean sheets in what was a relatively high-scoring weekend, the others being Keylor Navas (Real Madrid), Rubén (Almería), Kiko Casilla (Espanyol) and Tyton (Elche). Navas was given a run out by Ancelotti to save the legs of Casillas for Tuesday night’s Champions League clash with Atlético, and Rubén returned in place of Julián after a long injury lay-off. And one other goalkeeping change as well, Toño given the nod ahead of Cobeño by Rayo coach Paco Jémez to take over from the injured Cristian Alvarez. The experienced veteran is probably wishing that he hadn’t turned up though after letting in six against a rampant Celta! (14.04.15)
