With Oblak having clocked up six clean sheets in his last eight games, and Areola eight in ten, the match between second placed Atlético and fourth placed Villarreal was always going to be low scoring. And true to form it ended goal-less, leaving Atleti eight points adrift of leaders Barcelona, and their opponents still six behind them in the table. Elsewhere this weekend there were relatively few goals, although only three other keepers remained unbeaten, Diego Mariño (Levante), Pau López (Espanyol) and Rulli (Real Sociedad). No changes at all though between the sticks, managers keeping faith with their current incumbents for another week. (22.02.16)
