If Diego Alves merited a special mention in last week’s report for setting a new record for penalty saves, this week he deserves double after he kept out spot kicks from Atlético’s Griezmann and Gabi, the 18 th and 19 th stops of his career. Valencia still lost 0-2 though, Oblak registering his fifth clean sheet in seven games (not to mention two more in the Champions League!). With Ter Stegen hit for four at Celta, Oblak’s closest rival is now Sergio Asenjo after Villarreal drew 0-0 at Diego López’s Espanyol. And two other clean sheets this weekend, for Real Sociedad’s Rulli against Betis, and for Leganés keeper Serantes at Granada. Several changes between the sticks as well, Keylor Navas (now recovered from a long injury lay-off) coming back in for Kiko Casilla at Real Madrid, Sergio Rico replacing the suspended Sirigu for Sevilla, Osasuna’s Nauzet fit again and taking over from Mario (himself now injured), and Iraizoz (Athletic) and Raúl Lizoain (Las Palmas) given a run out by their respective managers in place of Kepa and Javi Varas.
