Four clean sheets in the last round of league matches before the Christmas break, in chronological order for Pacheco (Alavés), Moyà (Atlético), Rulli (Real Sociedad) and Tyton (Deportivo). Moyà was replacing the injured Oblak, who will be out for some time after having to have a shoulder injury operated on, and Espanyol’s Diego López also picked up an injury to his knee (hopefully not serious) after clashing with Barcelona’s Luis Suárez in the Nou Camp, Roberto coming on as his substitute. Elsewhere the new Leganés keeper Herrerín only lasted half an hour or so before getting himself sent off for a foul on Eibar’s Inui, and with Serrantes out for the rest of the season and Brignoli currently out of favour with coach Asier Garitano, B team keeper Diego Barrios came on for his first team debut.
