A bit of a mixed bag for goalkeepers in the latest round of midweek games. Osasuna’s Sirigu was hit for seven by a rampant Barcelona, and Lux and Tyton let in three apiece (Lux went off injured at half time) as Real Madrid responded with a 2-6 victory at Deportivo. Kiko Casilla returned to the Madrid goal for that one as Zidane once again rotated players after the “clásico”. Eibar meanwhile brought back Riesgo for the match at Pacheco’s Alavés, but he only lasted half an hour before he was sent off for the second time this season, Yoel coming back in to replace him. That game ended 0-0, and there were clean sheets elsewhere as well for Kameni (Málaga), Andrés (Villarreal) and Herrerín (Leganés). The Madrid based side in particular moved a step closer to safety after they beat Las Palmas 3-0, Javi Varas not having the best of outings for the Canary Islanders on his return to the starting line-up after a seven week absence.
