Eight clean sheets in the last round of league games before the short winter break, Ter Stegen ending the year at the top of our rankings after Barcelona beat Real Madrid 0-3 in the latest “clásico”. Elsewhere Oier (Levante), Cuéllar (Leganés), Guaita (Getafe), Pacheco (Alavés), Herrerín (Athletic Bilbao), Pau López (Espanyol) and Sergio Asenjo (Villarreal) all kept their goals against columns to zero to finish the year on a high. Only one change between the sticks, David Soria once again replacing Sergio Rico as Berizzo kept up his roatation policy. Berizzo himself though was surprisingly rotated himself after his team lost at Real Sociedad, and it is now up to new coach Vicenzo Montella to decide which of the two he favours. (27.12.17)
