Dubai. Spain are through to another youth international final. Armando Ufarte's side beat Colombia to set up a repeat of last summer's under 17 final in Finland against Brazil. It was a lively match with scoring chances for both sides, but the early opportunities fell to Spain, with the Barcelona pairing of Iniesta and Sergio García both testing keeper Landazuri several times.

The South Americans went close either side of half time though, Briceno and Perea both having efforts blocked before the break and Aguilar missing a sitter and Riesgo making a first class save from Araujo after the restart. Gabri had a shot headed over by Cuesta and a defender got in the way of Montano's effort at the other end as the game swung from end to end.

But five minutes from the end Belgian referee Frank De Bleeckere pointed to the penalty spot after Anchico intercepted Iniesta's through ball with his hand, and Iniesta himself coolly slotted his kick past Landazuri. The youngsters now have a chance to repeat their win four years ago in Nigeria.
