Third round, first leg

The draw took place for the third round of the Spanish cup today, with only eight first division left in the competition. Four second division B sides, Lanzarote, Lorca, Mirandés and Gramanet are also through together with four from the second division A. Teams competing in Europe (Real Madrid, Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla) were seeded, and lower division sides were drawn to play their first leg matches at home. Ties will take place over two legs on or around 12th and 19th January, with the first leg to take place at the ground of the first named side. (13.12.04)
