Spain's under 19 side top their mini-group after a 4-1 victory over Belgium in their first game of this year's European finals. A first attempt the day before was ended in the 18th minute due to an electrical storm, with Spain already leading thanks to a strike by Morata. That goal didn't count as the clock was set back to zero, but within a quarter of an hour they were in front again after keeper Casteels was sent off for pulling back Morata, Sarabia stepping up to convert the resulting penalty past replacement Kaminski. Morata went close a couple of times before the break, but just a minute after the restart the ten men equalised when Cuvelier caught out Badía with a speculative shot from outside of the area. Substitutes Juan Muñiz and Paco Alcácer combined though midway through the second half for the Valencia striker to restore the lead, and injury time strikes from Muñiz and Morata gave Spain what in the end was a flattering result.
