Spain failed to qualify for this summer’s youth World Cup after losing the play-off match to England in another penalty shoot-out. Both teams had been eliminated at the quarter final stage, but with six places in Chile for European sides they still had a chance of making it through. Olmo, Pepelu and Zalazar all missed chances though as Santi Denía’s team failed to score for the third match in a row, and Olmo’s spot kick was saved by substitute keeper Huffer to give England the victory.
