Honours were shared as Italy and Spain drew 1-1 in the first warm up game for the upcoming European finals. Chances were few in a tactical first half, although the locals had the better of things, with De Gea in particular having to make a good save from Candreva. The Manchester United keeper was in action again after the restart to prevent Insigne and Darmian from giving their side the lead, but midway through the second half he could do nothing to stop Insigne from getting on the end of a Giaccherini cross to open the scoring. Just a minute or so later though Aduriz made it all square after Buffon could only push out Morata’s header from a Fàbregas free kick, and although Insigne tested De Gea again, Morata missed a couple of chances to win it for Spain in the dying minutes.
