The last couple of friendly games before Lopetegui picks his World Cup squad, with Spain facing the team that took their World Cup crown from them, Germany. Neither side had been beaten in the last two years, but with only five minutes gone Iniesta put Rodrigo through to open the scoring. Müller fired home the equaliser though later in the first half, and only some good saves by keepers De Gea and Ter Stegen kept the scoreline unmoved after that. Spain return to Madrid to play Argentina next Tuesday.
