Champions League qualifying round, second leg

Barcelona (4) 1 - Wisla Krakow (3) 0

Barcelona qualified comfortably for the first league stage of the Champions League beating Polish side Wisla 5-3 on aggregate. The 3-4 victory in the first leg was more than enough, and although a great performance by Wisla's keeper Sarnat limited Barça to one goal, there was never any danger of them losing the tie. Substitute Luis Enrique got the only goal in the second half.

Mallorca (0) 2 - Hajduk Split (1) 0 (after extra time)

A goal in the second minute of extra time from Luque put Mallorca through to the league stage of the Champions League for the first time in their history. Eto'o had equalised the tie in the first half, but after 90 minutes the scores were level and an extra 30 minutes had to be played. Keeper Leo Franco was Mallorca's saviour in the dying minutes as Hadjuk pressed for the goal which would have given them the victory. (21.08.01)
