Second Division - Day Five

Extremadura kept up their lead at the top with their fifth victory in a row. This time it was not so easy however, the only goal in their 1-0 victory over Oasuna coming from Viaud in the second half when the visiting side defenders had stopped thinking the player was offside. Las Palmas moved up to second on 12 points after beating Mérida 2-0, with ex Atlético B striker coming on in the second half to score one and make the other for Olias. Quique Martín scored two for Salamanca in their 3-2 victory against Sporting, taking them third on 11 points. Recreativo beat bottom club Lleida 0-1 and move to fourth on 10 points, equal with Compostela who drew 0-0 with Leganés. Villarreal won 0-2 at Getafe and now have 9 points, equal with Osasuna and Sporting. Levante drew 1-1 at Badajoz and now have 8 points, as do Mérida. Albacete beat a disappointing Tenerife 1-0 and both teams have 7 points, together with Badajoz. Logroñes recorded their first victory, 2-1 against Toledo, and move up to 15th on 5 points. Córdoba scored their first 3 goals of the season against Atlético de Madrid B and move level with Elche (who drew 1-1 at Eibar) on 4 points. Atlético B, Eibar and Toledo have 3 points, the two Madrid teams Getafe and Leganés have 2, and Lleida stay bottom with one.
