The week 36 games were split in to two parts, with cup finalists Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid playing ten days earlier, and the other eight games this weekend. Keepers were hit for no less than twelve goals in the two brought forward matches, Málaga letting in six of those against Real Madrid, shared between Caballero and Kameni, who had to come on for his colleague after he turned his ankle keeping out Ronaldo's penalty.
Quieter though this weekend, with another 21 goals in all, nobody letting in more than three. There were clean sheets for Aranzubia (Deportivo), Roberto (Granada), Aouate (Mallorca) and Guaita (Valencia), and a couple of changes, Valdés returning from injury at Barcelona, and Cristian Alvarez given a run out at Espanyol in place of Kiko Casilla.
