European Championships 2009/10. Spain were drawn together with Poland, Northern Ireland and Belgium for the Elite round, which will take place next March. Only the group winners will go through to the finals in Liechtenstein in May. (08.12.09)

Under 17 World Cup. Spain finished third in the competition after they were beaten by Nigeria in the semi-finals. Ginés Meléndez's side had finished top of their group after wins against USA, United Arab Emirates and Malawi, and they beat Burkino Faso and Uruguay in the knock-out stage before losing to the hosts. European Championships 2009/10. Spain have been draw together with Romania, Lithuania and the Faroe Islands in qualfying group 2 for next season's competition.
