Spain have qualified for the under 17 finals in Bulgaria, although they do so as one of the best second-ranked teams after they could only draw 1-1 against group leaders France in their last match. Dani Olmo, Pepelu and Zalazar all tested Real Madrid keeper Luca Zidane (son of Zinedine), but Samba put France ahead early on in the second half after Ikone set him up on a quick breakaway. Makengo was sent off soon afterwards though for a second bookable offence, and Zalazar got on the end of a Rubén Fernández cross on the hour mark to save the draw.
