Barcelona are European Champions again after another brilliant win at Wembley! Guardiola's side beat Manchester United for the second time in three years to take their fourth Champions League title. For a few minutes the Premier League side were on top, but once Barça got in to their stride there was no stopping them. Pedro and Villa both went close before Pedro picked up Xavi's pass to open the scoring. And although Rooney combined with Giggs to level the scores soon afterwards, Pedro and Messi could both have scored again before the break.
Van der Sar was in action after the restart to keep out Dani Alves, but he could do nothing to stop a long shot from Messi which bent away from him a few minutes later. And although the veteran keeper did his best to keep his team in it, he was beaten once again by David Villa later on. Another double for Guardiola and his boys, and at this rate they seem to be on track to rewrite the record books.
