Barcelona's new president Sandro Rossell has now taken over, and his first move was to sell Chygrynskiy back to Shakhtar Donetsk to raise cash, albeit with a loss of €10 million on the deal. The future of Márquez is currently in doubt as well, so a centre back will be on the shopping list as well as another right back and a left sided attacking player. The first target though is still Cesc Fábregas, and Rossell is expected to meet with Wenger in the next few days to negotiate. Meanwhile new rumours are appearing every day about who Real Madrid will sign, with Steven Gerrard for example still a hot favourite, but in the meantime they have tied up Getafe's promising winger Pedro León. Mourinho will have to decide however whether he stays or goes back on loan to the city neighbours. Otherwise though with Spain still in the World Cup and many players still on their holiday break, the market is not expected to take off for a few more days at least. (07.07.10)
