Vicente Del Bosque ignored Barcelona's pleas to release their international players for a friendly international in Mexico, which takes place on 11th August, just thee days before Guardiola's side play the first leg of the Spanish super cup against Sevilla. Del Bosque has called up seven of Barça's eight world cup stars, only leaving out Iniesta who has had some injury problems recently. The coach has also rested Fernando Torres, Albiol and Reina for the same reason, and has included Cazorla, Monreal and Villarreal's uncapped midfielder Bruno Soriano.
