The rush is on as the 31st August transfer window deadline approaches. This week has been Barcelona's turn to capture the news headlines, with the club finally agreeing terms with Liverpool for Javier Mascherano, and at the same time trying to offload the unwanted Ibrahimovic to AC Milan. Ibra's agent has made himself very unpopular with his accusations against Guardiola, and the club have said they will be taking legal action against him for defamation of character. Only three days remain though to reach an agreement, and as we speak things could go either way. Meanwhile Barça, Real Madrid and several others are trying desperately to find homes for their unwanted players, and the bargain hunters are expected to have a field day at the beginning of next week once this weekend's games are out of the way. Velthuizen (HOL) Vitesse (HOL) Hércules GK Have snapped up young keeper, who joins on four year contract.
Roversio (BZL) Osasuna Betis DF Much needed reinforcement for defence. Moves on loan to free up non-EU place for Lekic.
Cuevas (PAR) Olimpia (PAR) Albacete FW Have signed experienced Paraguayan international, who has over 40 caps for his country.
Ibrahima (SEN) Atlético Madrid Numancia FW Young striker moves on loan deal from Atleti after turning down several other offers.
Luis García Racing Santander Panathinaikos (GRE) MF Ex Barça and Liverpool midfielder out of contract, and moves to one of Barça's opponents in the CL.
Piscu Deportivo Wigan (ENG) DF Player went AWOL after club unilaterally renewed his contract. On trial at Wigan, but not sure if they will have to pay if they want to keep him?
Mehmet Aurelio (TKY) Betis Besiktas (TKY) MF Another expensive player on his way. Agreed to rescind contract, and goes back home on two year deal.
Delporte (FRA) Osasuna Nàstic MF Injury problems meant they let him go. Has passed trial period and medical checks at Nàstic though and joins squad.
Berry Powel (HOL) ADO Den Haaga / De Graafscap (HOL) Nàstic FW On trial at same time as Delporte and also managed to convince Luis César. Free transfer after loan period at De Graafschap.
Campano Nàstic Vaslui (ROM) DF Another Spanish player who joins López Caro on his adventure in Romania.
Saizar Tenerife Ponferradina FW Much travelled striker out of contract and moves on again. Ponfe also signed Francis and Cuadrado this week.
Juanjo Racing / Córdoba Salamanca FW Still no place after another loan period, so agrees to rescind contract and accepts longer term deal at Salamanca.
Jesús Perera Rayo Vallecano Elche FW On-off deal now on again. More permant move after loan last year. Have also agreed terms with Bodipo after he left Vaslui.
Edixon Perea (COL) Gremio Porto Alegre (BZL) Las Palmas FW Have agreed terms with forward, who has been on trial with Blackburn. Some problems with paperwork though.
