Sevilla's poor start to the season continued with a 0-1 defeat to Paris Saint Germain, and coach Antonio Alvarez is already under pressure to turn things around. José Carlos curled an early shot just wide, and Luis Fabiano brought a good save out of the keeper a few minutes later. Erding went close a couple of times though before the break, and with a quarter of an hour to go Luyindula set up Nené for him to score what was to prove the only goal of the game.
