Thursday 12th January:

Quarter-final line up: 17/01: Espanyol v Mirandés; 18/01: Athletic v Mallorca; Real Madrid v Barça; 19/01: Valencia v Levante.

Osasuna 1 - Barcelona 2 (Sergi Roberto 71'). Messi, just on for Alexis, sets up youngster for second.

Osasuna 1 - Barça 1 (Alexis 48'). Alexis heads in Adriano cross. Away goal - that must be it now. Clásicos next two Wednesdays?

Athletic 4 - Albacete 0 (Toquero 78', San José 86'). Toquero back-heel and San José header wrap things up. Mallorca & Caparrós next week!

Athletic 2 - Albacete 0 (Ander 64'). Ander scores on follow up after Campos saved from Muniain. Looking good for Athletic so far...

Athletic 1 - Albacete 0 (Susaeta 24'). Muniain puts Susaeta through to lift shot over keeper. First leg was 0-0, so Athletic ahead in tie.

Wednesday 11th January:

Sevilla 2 - Valencia 1 (Víctor Ruíz og 91'). Sevilla went close in the end, but Soldado away goal made the difference. City derby confirmed!

Sevilla 1 - Valencia 1 (Soldado 66' / Rakitic 70'). Soldado gets vital away goal, but Rakitic keeps Sevilla's hopes alive. Two more needed!

Espanyol 4 - Córdoba 2 (Alvaro 89'). Alvaro completed hat-trick in last minute to take Espanyol through to meet Mirandés! More high drama!

Espanyol 3 - Córdoba 2 (Pepe Díaz 49'). Striker takes advantage of mistake by young keeper. Now Córdoba ahead on away goal rule!

Valencia line-up: Diego Alves; Miguel, Rami, Víctor Ruiz, Mathieu; Albelda, Banega; Feghouli, Jonas, Jordi Alba; Soldado.

Levante 4 - Alcorcón 0 (final). Easy win in the end for Levante, who play winners of Sevilla v Valencia. Could be Valencia city derby?

Espanyol 3 - Córdoba 1 (Didac 35' / Alberto 40'). We were just about to say this one looks like it was over too until Córdoba scored!

Levante 4 - Alcorcón 0 (Rubén 67'). Rubén completes the "poker" from direct free kick. No Alcorconazo this time around!

Espanyol 2 - Córdoba 0 (Alvaro 20'). Young striker scores his second of the night, this time from Weiss assist.

Espanyol 1 - Córdoba 0 (Alvaro 10'). Sergio García sets up Alvaro to score. Espanyol in front on away goals. Verdú hit bar earlier on too!

Levante 3 - Alcorcón 0 (Iborra 52'). Header from Rubén corner. Levante ahead, but whoever wins will be in quarter-finals for first time.

Córdoba line-up: Arias; Cerro, Prieto, Tena, Fuentes; Quero, Alberto, Javi Hervás, López Silva; Patiño, Pepe Díaz.

Levante 2 - Alcorcón 0 (Roger 45'). Youngster scores debut goal on stroke of half time. One from Alcorcón and it goes to extra time.

Levante 1 - Alcorcón 0 (Barkero 23'). El Zhar sets up Barkero for opener. Levante now ahead on the away goal rule!

Three cup matches tonight, Levante v Alcorcón (1-2) at 8:00, Espanyol v Córdoba (1-2) at 9:00, and Sevilla v Valencia (0-1) at 10:00.

Espanyol aim to turn round cup result vs Cordoba tonight with two B team goalkeepers. Khameni excluded as he is about to sign for Malaga.


Tuesday 10th January:

Málaga 0 - Real Madrid 1 (final). Benzema's goal ensures Madrid place in quarter-finals, where they will almost certainly meet Barcelona!

Málaga 0 - Real Madrid 1 (Benzema 71'). Substitute scores softest goal of the year to date! Caballero lets easy shot through his hands!

Half time in Rosaleda stadium without goals. First leg was 3-2, so minimum victory by Málaga and they are through on away goal rule!

Sensational! Pablo's penalty against Racing takes Mirandés through to the quarter final! Regional 2B side play winners of Espanyol-Córdoba.

Racing 1 - Mirandés 1 (Pablo Infante 72'). The bank manager scores again! 3-1 on aggregate to the 2B side, and Racing now need 3 in 18 mins!

Racing 1 - Mirandés 0. Mid-way through 2nd half, and Racing are down to 10 men after Bernardo sent off. They still need a goal to level it!

Mallorca 6 - Real Sociedad 1 (final). Mallorca were three down and out, but six goals in 25 minutes puts them though! Montanier in trouble!

Racing 1 - Mirandés 0 (Munitis 35'). Veteran forward scores against the run of play. Only one more needed and tie is all square!

Málaga line-up: Caballero; Sergio Sánchez, Demichelis, Mathijsen, Monreal; Toulalan, Cazorla; Seba Fernández, Isco, Eliseu; Van Nistelrooy.

Mallorca 6 (SIX!) - Real Sociedad 1 (Alfaro 53', Hemed 59'). They say it's a full moon tonight. Mallorca have just turned into werewolves!

Racing line-up: Mario; Álvaro, Torrejón, Bernardo, Cisma; Colsa, Tziolis; Kennedy, Arana, Munitis; Stuani. Mirandés 2-0 up remember!

Mallorca 4 (yes FOUR!) - Real Sociedad 1 (Castro 34', Hemed 35', Nunes 37', Castro 40')! Four goals in six minutes from Mallorca! Amazing!!!

Mallorca 0 - Real Soc 1 (Ifrán 16'). Striker heads in De la Bella cross for vital away goal! Mallorca now need four to go through!

Three 2nd leg cup ties tonight. First up Mallorca v Real Sociedad, then an hour later Racing v Mirandés, and finally Málaga v Real Madrid!
