Club World Cup, semi-final

Al-Sadd 0 - Barcelona 4

Barcelona had no problems making it through to the final of this year's edition of the Club World Championship, a 4-0 win over Asian champions Al-Sadd setting up a final on Sunday against Brazil's Santos. Adriano scored twice in the first half, the first after charging down a half-hearted clearance by keeper Saqr following a mix-up with Belhadj close to goal, and the second after picking up a through ball from Pedro shortly before the break. Twenty minutes in to the second half Messi set up Keita for the third, and with ten minutes to go Maxwell cut in from the left to wrap things up. There was bad news for Guardiola though, David Villa breaking his leg as he ran on to a long ball into the area in the first half, early reports suggesting the striker will miss the rest of the season, and maybe even the finals of Euro 2012 next summer.
