Valencia made it through to the quarter finals of the Europa League after drawing 1-1 at PSV Eindhoven. Defending a 4-2 lead from the first leg, Emery's side struggled a bit before the break, with Toivonen in particular causing some problems for Diego Alves and his defence. Jonas went close a couple of times though, and two minutes after the restart Rami got his head to a long shot from Feghouli to deflect the ball past Tyton in to the net. Toivonen equalised a few minutes later though, and Wijnaldum, Strootman and Matavz all tried their luck later on. With a couple of minutes to go an incident in the Valencia area ended with Rami being sent off, but although the referee initially signalled a penalty for the Dutch side, he eventually changed his mind and gave a free kick the other way. A let off for the Spaniards, although it was probably too late anyway to change the result.
