Moisés Hurtado gave the visitors an early lead, but Miguélez equalised for the home side after the break. Later in the evening the match between Las Palmas and Almería also finished in a 1-1 draw, Aleix Vidal putting Javi Gracia's team ahead, and Thievy saving the day for the Canary Islanders near the end. A 1-1 draw in the first play-off semi-final of the promotion play-offs between Alcorcón and Girona, with Miguélez keeping the locals in the tie after the visitors had taken an early lead. Moisés Hurtado opened the scoring in the tenth minute after David García played a deflected free kick back in to the area, but after that Isaac had to be at his best to keep out Kike López, Juli and Fernando Sales. Oriol Riera also headed just wide shortly before the break, and Isaac had to make a couple more saves before Miguélez finally beat him with a far post header following a corner. Both teams had chances after that, but in the end they settled for a draw which leaves the Catalans in the driving seat for the second leg.

All to play for in the second leg after the second play-off semi-final between Las Palmas and Almería also ended 1-1. The visitors took the lead in the seventh minute when the defence allowed a long throw-in to bounce through for Aleix Vidal to thrash a shot past Barbosa. After that though the Canary Islanders had the better chances, Momo bringing a good save out of Esteban and Vicente Gómez and Thievy going close. Almería lost top scorer Charles to an injury eary in the second half, but his replacement Jonathan Zongo tested Barbosa with a header, and Carlos Calvo put a good chance over the top. But with five minutes to go Thievy saved the draw after Esteban got a hand to a Gómez header, and the keeper did well to save another header near the end from Hernán, who was taken to hospital with concussion after clashing heads with Trujillo in the play.
