Athletic Bilbao thrashed Helsinki 6-0 to all but ensure their place in next Friday's league stage draw. By half time they were already three up, Aduríz getting his first goal since his return to the club with a well placed header from Iraola's cross. Susaeta headed a second from an Iñigo Pérez corner, and Pérez made it three himself with a long free kick with Wallen a mere spectator. Within ten minutes of the restart Aduríz and Susaeta both had their second goals of the evening against some slack defending, and with five minutes to go substitute Muniain set up Iraola to complete the "set". It could have been more as well, Aduríz and San José both hitting the bar and Ibai Gómez having a goal ruled out for offside, but six should be more than enough to see them through in Helsinki next week.
