Levante came in to the second leg of their first ever European tie with a two goal lead over Motherwell, and they qualify for the league stage of the competition after a 1-0 win in the Ciudad de Valencia stadium. There was an early scare though when Higdon got the ball in the net only to be ruled offside, and Page headed a Hetherington free kick wide a couple of minutes later. After that though the Scottish side hardly troubled Keylor Navas, and Juanlu came close to scoring after intercepting a bad back pass close to half time. After the restart Randolph did well to save from Juanlu and El Zhar, and with twenty minutes to go Gekas got on the end of Juanlu's cross tp put the result beyond Motherwell's reach.
