Last season's runners-up Athletic Bilbao bowed out of the Europa League after a 0-0 draw against Sparta Prague. It was the last European match to take place in the old San Mamés stadium prior to their switch to the new arena next summer, and with their fate already sealed a couple of weeks ago, Bielsa used the occasion once again to give a run out to some of his talented youngsters. The best of those Muniain went close early on, and Llorente also shot just wide a few minutes later. Skalak came closest to finding the net though when he fired a shot against the crossbar later on in the first half, and Kaderabek wasted a couple of chances for the Czech side after the interval. Not much else happened after that though, and memories of Athletic's European campaign this season will soon be forgotten.
