Although already qualified for the knock-out stage, Levante had to win in Valencia against group leaders Hannover '96 to overtake their opponents in the table. However in the end they were thankful to save a 2-2 draw after they went two behind early on. Stindl opened the scoring for the German side, turning the ball in to the net from close up after Héctor couldn't prevent Ya Konen from playing his pass back across goal. And a few minutes later Ya Konen made it two with a chip over Keylor Navas after Stindl put him through. It could have been worse after that, Navas saving twice in a minute from Konen, the second in particular deflecting on to the crossbar and away. But Michel and Rubén García went close either side of half time, and four minutes in to the second half Michel's free kick fell kindly for Angel to steer a shot past Zieler. Angel could have scored a couple of times after that, but it was not until the last minute of injury time that Iborra headed Barkero's corner across the keeper, enough to save his side's unbeaten home record, but too late to do any more.
