Levante completed the formalities on Thursday evening, beating Michel's Olympiacos 4-0 on aggregate after a 0-1 victory in Greece in the second leg. Already three up from the first meeting, Martins put the game beyond the hosts' reach when he beat ex Manchester United keeper Roy Carroll with a header from Barkero's corner in the ninth minute. Keylor Navas did have a few saves to make after that, but the locals were never going to turn this one around from then on. Levante will be relieved at Atlético Madrid's demise against Rubin Kazan as the last two surviving La Liga sides were drawn together in the next round, although Juan Ignacio Martínez's team will still be facing a long trip to play the Russian team next month. With all four Champions League sides struggling though, debutants Levante may be left flying the flag for Spain in this season's European competitions.
